"National Interest" and "Earth Interest"

Chapter 1: Rethinking the Concept of "National Interest"

National interest is a concept for pursuing the prosperity and security of a nation. Many leaders and politicians advance policies based on this concept. However, modern national interests are short-term, regional, and biased toward the goal of protecting vested interests. The cause of the problem is that it focuses on resource competition and economic competition, and lacks a global perspective on the happiness of its citizens, international cooperation strategies, and global perspectives. As long as national interests continue to be pursued from a narrow perspective limited to a single country, it is difficult to build a sustainable future. Now is the time to reconsider the definition of national interest and consider more comprehensive interests.

Chapter 2: A new perspective on "Earth Interest"

Global interests’ is a principle that prioritizes the health and stability of the entire planet, transcending national interests. Issues such as environmental destruction and climate change have far-reaching effects that go beyond the borders of individual countries. While the pursuit of national interests may lead to short-term prosperity, we cannot ignore the global crisis facing the Earth. ‘True national interests’ can only be realized by aligning with the sustainable development of the planet, and ‘global interests’ serve as the foundation for this harmony.

Chapter 3: The relationship between global and national interests

National interest and global interest are not opposing concepts, but in fact complement each other. For a nation to prosper, the environment and resources of the entire planet must be stable. Climate change and the collapse of ecosystems have a direct impact on a nation’s economy and security. Pursuing national interest without considering global interests will ultimately put the country’s own future at risk. We must recognize that by prioritizing global interests, national interests can also be achieved in a more sustainable and stable manner.

When countries are united by the “global interest”… “national interest” becomes “global interest.”

Chapter 4: Forces that threaten the "global interest" and their impact

The concept of global interest is threatened by certain countries and companies that pursue short-term profits. Powers that pursue their own interests and continue to exploit others under the guise of false environmental measures (propaganda) are currently corroding the Earth. Furthermore, there are movements that reject international cooperation and instigate conflict between nations in order to secure their own national interests. These powers even endanger national interests, and ultimately destroy global interests. We need a unified public will that will restrain these powers and prioritize the interests of the entire planet.

Chapter 5: Japan's leadership challenges

It has been pointed out that many politicians in Japan are acting to the detriment of the national interest. They seek favor with certain foreign powers and skillfully pursue their own interests at the expense of the interests of the people. This is becoming more and more apparent with the times. This is gradually eroding the interests of the entire country and moving in a direction that ignores the interests of the planet. In order for Japan to value the interests of the planet and pursue its true national interests, it needs to renew its leadership and social system. It is important for the people to be critical of their leaders and unite in a perspective of national interests that are in line with the interests of the planet, beyond political ideology. I would like to call this Coexistence Profit.

Chapter 6: The contradiction between "private interest" and "national interest"

National interests are seriously damaged when leaders secretly prioritize their own interests. By prioritizing the interests of themselves and special interest groups, the long-term stability and prosperity of the nation are put at risk. It is not that forming groups is bad. It is fine if the group seeks not only specific collective interests but also collective interests that are in line with the interests of coexistence in the same direction. For example, relaxing environmental regulations and overuse of resources may bring short-term economic benefits, but ultimately the entire country will be negatively affected. This kind of leadership that pursues self-interest destroys not only national interests but also the interests of the planet, endangering the future of humanity.

Chapter 7: The Importance of "Global Benefit" and Proposals for the Future

We need leadership that prioritizes the global interest. We need policies that understand that national and global interests are not contradictory and that focus on sustainability of the entire planet. In the future, actions centered on “coexistence interests,” such as environmental protection, promotion of renewable energy, and strengthening of international cooperation, will lead to national prosperity. If the scope of coexistence is a country, it is national interest, and if it is the world, it is global interest. We are entering an era in which future leaders must pursue world harmony from a perspective that transcends national borders. “Leadership based on global interests” will be the key to building a sustainable future of “national interests.” If leaders are no good, the people have no choice but to unite beyond the concept of a country created by rulers. It is the people and children who suffer on the front lines of rulers’ rivalries.

Even if they are citizens of different countries,

By uniting people who truly care about the national interest, regardless of right or left,

We can build a sustainable future based on global benefit!

Investing in the future: our responsibility to future generations

Finally, leaders and people should be responsible to the next generation. They need to think about how their current decisions will affect future generations and invest in building a sustainable future. Environmental protection, education, and technological innovation are all directly linked to future prosperity. It is important to adopt policies that are geared toward the long-term good of the planet and lay the foundations for future generations to live on a more prosperous and sustainable planet.

If cooperation and understanding across borders deepens

True national interests will be achieved and global interests will be secured at the same time.

The key to the future is for leaders and people to take action together.
